The American Council on Education (ACE) is the USA's unifying voice for higher education. ACE serves as a consensus leader on key higher education issues and seeks to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives. ACE has recommended college credit between one and three credit hours for different Autodesk Certified User Exams.

Numerous states have included Autodesk Certifications on their lists of approved industry-recognized credentials through their departments of education and workforce services. Many of these states leverage Perkins V funding to help ensure college and career readiness for learners.

• Arkansas includes Autodesk Certifications on its Industry-Recognized Credential Tiered Table, for pre-engineering and other high demand occupations.
• Colorado empowers educators to deliver industry certifications to validate competency in future occupations, which includes Autodesk Certifications.
• Florida has incorporated Autodesk Certifications into their CAPE Industry Certification Funding List, providing Perkins funding for students who earn their certifications.
• Georgia's Technical Skill Attainment Inventory includes industry certifications that extend to the Autodesk Certifications available through Certiport.
• Autodesk certifications are included on the Idaho Advanced Opportunities Approved Exams list, validating learners’ skills on career cluster pathways through CTE education.
