We recently sat down with one of their students, Evelyn Lopez, to discuss how the NPower program and earning Microsoft Certified Fundamentals certifications has inspired her professional path.
What Microsoft Certified Fundamentals certification did you earn and what was your motivation?
I earned my Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) certifications through NPower’s Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) program.
I wanted to earn these certifications to better understand Microsoft technology, as it is widely used in the IT industry. I knew this knowledge could help me navigate and utilize these tools proficiently across diverse work settings. Additionally, it will help me in my career goal to become a Level 1 HelpDesk position. The Microsoft Fundamentals certifications gave me with a solid foundation and enhanced my skills and readiness for the role.
How has earning the certification impacted your knowledge and skills in your field?
Gaining these certifications has significantly influenced my understanding and proficiency in leveraging cloud services. The impact on clients is notable, as I have gained insights into optimizing and enhancing time management when utilizing these software tools.
What advice would you give to someone considering the same certifications based on your experience?
Regardless of the exposure you have with Microsoft tools, it is crucial to delve deeper to fully comprehend their capabilities and the value they can offer. Acquiring comprehensive knowledge through certification enables you to discern which specific tools are most suitable for various scenarios.
