"Driver 2" Update in Console

Recently, we identified an issue in Console 8 that may cause an exam crash and display a "CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess" message. This issue does not affect MOS or Autodesk exams. However, this issue may occur in simulation-rich ACA & IC3 exams and may be triggered when the Test Candidate uses the review option with many items during the exam. If you have experienced this issue, a Driver 1 update will resolve this problem.

To access and install the update:

  1. From the Systems Update web site, click on the Updates tile, expand Program Update > Content > Driver and select Driver 1.
  2. Follow the standard installation process to install the update.
  3. Alternatively, if you download any new exams that use Driver 1, you will automatically get the updated Driver.

If you are a new Certiport Authorized Testing Center (CATC) installing the Console 8 software for the first time, the Driver 1 update is already incorporated.

If you are experiencing this issue, but are not yet able to install the Driver 1 update, the proctor can restart the exam and the test candidate can continue from where the error occurred.
