Prepare to deliver exams

You have used the Microsoft Imagine Academy curriculum and other resources to prepare your students for exam day. Now, let’s get ready to ensure a successful testing event.

We recommend that you review the following steps to ensure you are ready for your testing event. The goal is for the administration of the exams to be a stress-free and smooth experience.

Step 1: Set student expectations

Help your students feel comfortable by setting expectations about the testing process. Review test taking tips in the Certification Administration guide with your students and show an exam tutorial. Have test candidates log in to to confirm they remember their Certiport username and password. If test candidates need help recovering their login, Test Candidate Support can assist them.

If your testing event is shorter than the maximum exam time (50 minutes for MOS, 45 minutes for MTA), work with your students to let their next teacher know that they may be late, and you’ll excuse them.

Step 3: Testing pre-check

Review Certiport’s Top 10 Administrator Checks and verify that your exam product is ready, designated proctors have account privileges, created exam groups (if you use them), and you’re comfortable launching an exam.

Some of your students may need accommodations for exams. Submit requests for accommodations at least 14 business days in advance.
