In June, you’ll see exciting updates to our IT Specialist AI certification exam’s objective domains.
We want to ensure that the exam validates the most important foundational AI skills, and these changes highlight the evolution of the AI worldI. Some objectives have shifted to different sections and we’ve also added new subdomains to clearly validate all ideas. Please see a list of the updates and view the new objective domains on our website.
Some specific changes include:
- Objective 2, originally titled “Data Collection, Processing, and Engineering,” is now two separate objectives:
- Data Collection & Transformation
- Feature Engineering
- Objective 4.1 now covers Natural Language Processing (NLP) and specific algorithm families are included in objectives 4.1.2 to 4.1.6.
- We added subdomains to the following sections:
- Identifying whether interaction between AI and humans is required
- Conducting feasibility analysis
- Identifying visualization types that will represent the data story
- Planning for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
The changes will go live in June 2026 for English, Spanish, and French versions of the exam. Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified, and Japanese updates will be available in August 2026. Arabic and Portuguese exam updates are scheduled for March 2027.
LearnKey, GMetrix practice exams, and MSi will have updated content aligned with the English release in June.
