Student competitions bring technology certifications to life for your students, provide them with a positive platform to showcase their skills, and give them a unique opportunity to earn valuable rewards and recognition.
IIG Vietnam, our Certiport Authorized Partner in Vietnam, is seeing the impact of student competitions firsthand. Their most recent event, Hanoi’s District Level Competition of the 2024 International Young Informatics Talent competition, was an excellent showcase of young talent and digital prowess. IIG Vietnam hosted the event in partnership with the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to nurture IT skills among the city's youth through certifications such as IC3 Digital Literacy and Microsoft Office Specialist.
Over 30,000 students from across Hanoi came to participate in the district level showdown on January 14, 2024, where 1,768 competitors (1,033 from elementary and 735 from middle schools) demonstrated their IT acumen. Throughout 14 different testing centers, students demonstrated their IT knowledge and skills through the IC3 Digital Literacy Spark Level 1 and IC3 Digital Literacy Level 1 certification exams, tailored for elementary and middle school students, respectively.
The competition's rigorous evaluation process revealed outstanding performances. The top ten elementary, top ten middle school, and top four high school contestants from each district will advance to the city-level Final Round. At this stage, participants will tackle higher-level IC3 Digital Literacy Spark GS6 Level 2 and IC3 Digital Literacy GS6 Level 2 exams for elementary and middle school levels, respectively, and the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification exam for high school students. Over 170 awards and certificates will be issued after the city-level competition, courtesy of the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.
Congratulations to IIG Vietnam and all the competition participants for their dedication to 21st century skills and IT credentials! Follow along on Facebook for more live updates.
