We’re excited to announce that the Virginia Board of Education has approved ‘Coding in Minecraft’ to be added to the board-approved Industry Certifications, Occupational Competency Assessments, and Professional Licenses for the school year 2022-2023.
The Virginia Department of Education has concluded that ‘Coding in Minecraft’ meets the career and technical education (CTE) graduation requirement upon completion of the Capstone Credential Examination. Starting in the school year 2022-2023, students who achieve the ‘Coding in Minecraft’ Capstone Credential will receive up to two student-selected verified credits to meet graduation requirements. Beyond earning a credential, students will develop their creativity, self-confidence, foster their critical thinking and problem-solving skills while being immersed in the world of Minecraft: Education Edition.
