Announcing the New 2021 Adobe Certified Associate U.S. National Online Championship

Certiport is excited to announce a new competition that COVID can’t cancel – The 2021 Adobe Certified Associate U.S. National Online Championship. This competition has new rules, follows a new format, and still has great opportunities and prizes to win. We know you may have lots of questions, so we’ve made it easy. Get all the details for our new online competition below.

How do I participate in the 2021 ACA U.S. National Online Championship?

The process is simple! Students must have passed a qualifying Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) exam and submitted an original design project with source files between June 16, 2019 and May 7, 2021. Students must also have been over 13 years old but under 22 years old at the time they took the qualifying exam and submitted the project. Any project students create using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator can be submitted into the competition. Design projects that students create in school or at home that show their creativity, technical ability, and mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud are great projects that they can submit. The students must be the creators and owners of the projects that are submitted. The final project files and source files can be submitted here.

The students with the top design projects will be named the 2021 Adobe Certified Associate U.S. National Online Championship winners.

What happens if I’ve already been invited to the 2020 or 2021 ACA U.S. National Championships, for in-person participation?

Due to ongoing issues with the COVID-19 pandemic, Certiport made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 and 2021 in-person ACA U.S. National Championship events. Unfortunately, due to the cancellation, all outstanding invitations are also cancelled.

However, students who qualified for the ACA U.S. National Championship in-person event will automatically have their scores and design projects included in the qualifying pool for the 2021 ACA U.S. National Online Championship.

Is there a new qualification period?

Yes, because we want to include students after our previously cancelled events, we’ve expanded the qualification pool. Any exam passed and design projects submitted between June 16, 2019 and May 7, 2021 will qualify for the 2021 ACA U.S. National Online Championship.

How do I cancel my hotel reservation?

Hotel reservations should be cancelled directly with the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista or the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace.

Do I need to cancel my event registration?

Certiport will manage the cancellation of all in-person event registrations. All additional guest fees will be refunded directly to the credit card with which they were paid in 7-10 business days.

When will winners be notified?

May 7, 2021 is the official closing day for entries into the 2021 ACA U.S. National Championship. Certiport will review and judge the submitted design projects and source files. Placing students can anticipate receiving their notifications starting on May 19, 2021.

What will winners receive?

All prizes for the 2021 ACA U.S. National Online Championship will be the same as if we held an in-person event. Certiport will also be awarding the 10 runner-up students. You can see more about that in the “What can students win?” section of this page.

Will there be an awards ceremony?

Of course! We wouldn’t miss the chance to recognize our amazing winners. On June 23, 2021, Certiport will publicly announce the 2021 Adobe Certified Associate U.S. National Online Championship winners at an awards ceremony that can be viewed online. The link for the awards ceremony will be shared via social media and on the Certiport website leading up to the virtual awards ceremony.

Is anything changing with the 2021 ACA World Championship?

At this point, we are making no changes to the 2021 ACA World Championship. If the event is modified, we will send communication through our CATC newsletter, social media, and announce the updates on Certiport.com.
