Certiport Partners with World Economic Forum to Upskill ASEAN Youth

Certiport has recently announced its partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF), and their flagship project called the ASEAN Digital Skills Vision 2020 Project. A recent study in Southeast Asia to over 56,000 youth, ages 15-35, found that there is a STEM skills gap for the upcoming Fourth Industrial Revolution. Citizens are aware that they need to upgrade their skills in order to keep up with demand and drive the economy. Responding to the need to train workers in the face of technological change, the ongoing ASEAN Digital Skills Vision 2020 is assembling a coalition of organizations to train 20 million workers at ASEAN small businesses by 2020. Certiport is part of this coalition.

In order to help citizens gain the skills they need, Certiport is working with WEF to offer hundreds of thousands of industry-recognized certifications to people in 10 countries across Southeast Asia as part of the ASEAN project. Certifications that will be offered include Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Technology Associate, Adobe Certified Associate, App Development with Swift, Autodesk Certified User, EC-Council Associate, Unity Certified User, IC3 Digital Literacy and QuickBooks Certified User.
