SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – November 28, 2018
The 2019 Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) U.S. National Championship has been launched by Certiport, the leading provider of performance-based IT certification exams that accelerate academic and career opportunities for learners.
In its 7th year, the competition will move from online-entry to a live, in-person event at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, Florida June 17-19, 2019. More than 140,000 entries from nearly every state are expected in the ACA U.S. National Championship.
“The ACA U.S. National Championship has been motivating and inspiring students for several years, and one thing they have asked for is a live event to mirror the ACA World Championship,” said Ray Murray, Vice President and General Manager – IT, Pearson VUE. “The thrill of a live competition cannot be compared and we look forward to seeing what these amazing students can do when given a day to create a professional, beautiful marketing piece to demonstrate their superior skills.”
To qualify, entrants must be a student currently enrolled in an approved, accredited academic institution, between ages 13-22 (as of June 15, 2019), and have an ACA certification in Adobe Photoshop®, Adobe Illustrator® or Adobe InDesign®. Certified students can enter an original design creation at us.acachampionship.com. Top projects will be invited to the ACA U.S. National Championship where they will be given approximately eight hours to complete a project using Adobe tools. A panel of professional designers will judge the projects.
Three U.S. National Champions will then be named and invited to compete at the ACA World Championship (ACAWC) at the Marriott Marquis in New York City, New York July 28–31, 2019. More information on the Adobe ACA World Championship can be found at www.acachampionship.com.
