ACA World Championship

Certiport (www.certiport.com), a Pearson VUE business, the leading test delivery solution provider for the global workforce and academic markets, today announces the 2016 Adobe® Certified Associate (ACA) U.S. National Champions. The winners topped more than 80,000 contestants from 45 states to win a spot to compete in the ACA World Championship (ACAWC) August 7-10 in Orlando, Florida. Students entered the competition by earning their ACA certification and submitting a design project they created using advanced digital design skills.

The ACA U.S. National Champions are as follows:

  • Andrew Baez, Middle Creek High School, North Carolina
  • Amanda Galvan, Southwest Career and Technical Academy, Nevada
  • Rachel Larson, Niceville High School, Florida

These students are now invited to the ACA World Championship presented by Certiport, a global competition that tests students’ design skills using Adobe Photoshop®, Adobe Illustrator® and Adobe InDesign® and promotes industry certification. Finalists are expected to come from more than 20 countries to demonstrate their proficiency in using industry-leading Adobe software to complete a real-world design challenge for the International Child Art Foundation.

“The work these three U.S. finalists submitted demonstrated a creative and technical mastery of digital design concepts and we believe they will represent the U.S. well at the World Championship,” said Craig Bushman, vice president of marketing for Certiport. “Every student who entered has earned ACA certification, which validates their skills for college and career and will set them apart from their peers as they continue to progress.”

A first ($5,000), second ($2,500) and third ($1,000) place ACA World Champion will be chosen based on a panel of judges reviewing the final design projects. Visit www.ACAChampionship.com for more information.
